From Saying "Good-bye" to Saying "Hello"

Change is almost always difficult. Transitioning into another phase of life has its challenges. As a missionary change and transition are a part of life. Unfortunately, that doesn't make it easier nor routine. Its the part of our career that we dread and a part that hurts. However, there are things we can do to help us along the way.

As I prepared to leave Mexico, I decided to make saying good-bye a fun time instead of turning myself into a walking tear factory. Of course I shed my share of tears, I'm the "Queen of Crying" after all. But what better way to make a sad event fun but to throw a party!

So, I invited some of my closest friends to a ladies' tea. These were the ladies I spent the most time with in fellowship and teaching. I saw several of them change from quiet, insecure ladies to bold, secure witnesses for Jesus!  What a wonderful blessing to have been a part of their lives!

And as I laughed with these wonderful friends and told them good-bye,

I made plans to journey north and begin my Homeland Ministry time.
